Asuka Joins Forces With Damage CTRL On WWE SmackDown

The Damage CTRL faction has grown a number in its ranks - even if just temporarily. On last night’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown, the future of Damage CTRL was seemingly up in the air due to Kairi Sane’s WWE return and alignment with WWE Women’s Champion Iyo Sky, something which Bayley didn’t seem to be totally on board with at first given her history with Sane. However, after some talking in the ring and explanations on both sides, Bayley & Sane brushed off their differences. 

This segment was followed up with a six-woman tag team match as Asuka, Bianca Belair, and Charlotte Flair took on Bayley, Iyo Sky, and Kairi Sane. There was another twist in the tale, as Asuka sprayed mist into the face of Belair, showing her allegiance to Damage CTRL. She hugged with the group and stood tall to close the show with her new allies. 

It isn’t clear if Asuka is a fully-fledged member of Damage CTRL though, or if she is just by their side ahead of an expected women’s WarGames match at Survivor Series.
