Kevin Owens Traded To WWE SmackDown

Kevin Owens is the newest member of SmackDown

Back at the 2023 Payback premium live event, Cody Rhodes announced that he’d pulled some strings to bring over Jey Uso to the Monday Night Raw brand. A trade with SmackDown was announced, though it wasn’t said who would be making the move.

After over a month it has finally been revealed, as the new SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis decided it was about time to make the announcement, and it was a big one. Kevin Owens is the newest member of the SmackDown roster, splitting up his tag team with Sami Zayn. The segment in which Aldis brought out Owens saw him come out to deliver a stunner to the whining Dominik Mysterio, much to the glee of the audience.

Post-show, Kevin Owens gave an interview in a Digital Exclusive in which he said he was going to celebrate by spending some time with his mother, given that it was her birthday. Owens did say it was bittersweet leaving Raw due to leaving Zayn, but is excited for what is to come in his new home. He also sent his best wishes to friend “Adam” who had a serious surgery, with many assuming Adam Cole.
