Nick Aldis Makes WWE Debut, Announced As New SmackDown General Manager

Nick Aldis is now in charge of SmackDown

In August this year, former NWA and TNA World Champion Nick Aldis arrived in WWE in a backstage capacity, working as a producer. His workload has already expanded outside of that, as he made his on-screen debut for the company, though it comes in a non-wrestling capacity.

On last night’s Friday Night SmackDown, Triple H came out to announce a shake-up in terms of who is running both brands. Previously, Adam Pearce was running around across both shows, but it has now been announced that he will keep to Monday Night Raw as General Manager of the red brand. Dominik Mysterio arrived to air some grievances at Pearce, though Triple H told him that he should be directing this to the new SmackDown GM instead.

Triple H followed this up by bringing out Nick Aldis as the new SmackDown General Manager, fitted with a lovely blue suit. He made several announcements on his first night in charge, including a Women’s Title match for the following week.
