Report: Update On When WWE Expect Randy Orton To Return

Randy Orton could be back by the end of this year

Randy Orton hasn’t been seen on WWE programming for well over a year, last competing on an episode of Friday Night SmackDown in May of 2022 in a match where The Usos defeated him and Matt Riddle to become the new Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions.

Reports on his injury status and even the possibility of a return full stop have been back and forth over the last year and a half, though it looks as though a return could now finally be in the works. Fightful Select have reported that WWE are trying to get Orton back in the fold by the time Survivor Series rolls around - which is just over a month away.

Orton was previously spotted in Orlando, Florida at the Performance Centre, hinting that he was getting back into ring shape. With former RK-Bro tag team partner Matt Riddle no longer in the company, it isn’t clear what Orton will do once he’s back, however seeing him back in any capacity will be enough for many fans.
