Kevin Owens Was A Little Annoyed About Missing Out On WWE Money In The Bank Ladder Match

Missing WWE Money in the Bank ladder match annoyed Kevin Owens

WWE brought Money in the Bank to London, England on July 1, a night that saw Damian Priest crowned Mr. Money in the Bank with his victory in the eponymous men's ladder match.

Two notable absences from the MITB event were those of Undisputed WWE Tag team Champions Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn, with the champs watching on from a box like WWE's answer to Statler and Waldorf. During an appearance on Mark Andrews’ My Love Letter to Wrestling podcast, Owens admitted he felt ‘a little annoyed’ about not taking part in the MITB ladder match:

“I'm actually a little annoyed I'm not in it this year. I love ladders. Yeah, I love ladder matches. I think I thrive in them. So to not get to do it kind of sucks,” revealed Owens.

Owens has a storied history with ladder matches throughout his career, having competed in nine in WWE, one in NXT, and several high-profile bouts across the indies, including a heralded Ladder War against former partner El Generico at ROH Final Battle 2012.
