King Corbin has taken to Twitter to shed some light on his decision to attack Drew McIntyre at the conclusion of Monday Night Raw.
The Smackdown superstar crossed the divide between the two brands to assault the Scottish warrior on Monday, aiding WWE Champion Bobby Lashley in a beatdown of his WrestleMania 37 challenger.
Lashley had made an offer to the Raw locker-room to step up and take McIntyre out prior to WrestleMania, with the person who managed to do so getting his shot at Lashley at 'The Showcase Of The Immortals', and Corbin has now confirmed that this opportunity was part of the reason he attacked McIntyre on Raw.
The 'Lone Wolf' also referenced when the trio were a team in 2019, suggesting the three of them were on course to dominate WWE before McIntyre 'sold out'.
Corbin's Tweet can be seen below. He has been used sporadically on Smackdown in recent weeks, engaging in a feud with Rey and Dominik Mysterio. He has most recently teamed with and faced off against Sami Zayn.
