King Cuerno Set To Make WWE NXT Debut This Weekend

The Big Game Hunter is back in action...

While many expected former Lucha Underground and AAA star King Cuerno/El Hijo del Fantasma to hit the ground running when he signed with WWE back in September, he is yet to wrestle in the company. Dave Meltzer revealed in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that this is because Cuerno blew out his knee shortly after signing with WWE.

The luchador has now recovered from his knee injury, however, and announced on Twitter he is set to make his NXT debut on Saturday at a house show in Fort Pierce, Florida.

Fantasma wrote: "Finally!!!! #OhLaLaTime Mexico’s greatest export... see ya this Saturday in Fort Pierce!!! Bring your #ohLaLaGame @WWENXT."

Cuerno will now go by his real name Jorge Bolly and is set to be paired with 205 Live wrestler Raul Mendoza to form the tag team, Tequila. When explaining the team's name, Bolly said it's because "we're going to knock you out."

Bolly has been wrestling since 2008, but really rose to prominence once he debuted as King Cuerno in Lucha Underground in 2014. In the Californian promotion, he competed in high profile feuds against Johnny Mundo, Prince Puma and Fenix, winning the Gift Of The Gods Championship on one occasion. He announced he had left both AAA and Lucha Underground in March 2019 and wrestled across the world for a short time before signing with WWE in September.
