King Of The Ring, Queen's Crown Tournament Matches Set For WWE SmackDown

The tournaments get underway

WWE have announced the first matches of the King Of The Ring Tournament and Queen's Crown Tournament.

The company revealed last week that both competitions would get underway on the October 8 edition of Friday Night SmackDown before continuing on the October 11 episode of Monday Night Raw.

While all of the participants have yet to be revealed, WWE have announced that Sami Zayn will take on Rey Mysterio in the first King Of The Ring match, while Liv Morgan will go one on one with Carmella in the Queen's Crown Tournament.

Zayn and Mysterio have been feuding on SmackDown in recent weeks and The Great Liberator has defeated Dominik Mysterio three times over the last month.

Friday will be the fifth time Liv Morgan and Carmella have faced off in a singles match since June.

Both the King Of The Ring and Queen's Crown Tournament are expected to run for the next couple of weeks before concluding at the Crown Jewel pay-per-view on October 21. WWE has yet to officially confirm that is the case, though.
