Kofi Kingston Re-Aggravates Shoulder Injury

WWE have revealed that Kofi Kingston will spend more time on the sideline.

Unfortunately, Kofi Kingston looks set to spend more time out of action, after the re-aggravation of an injury was revealed on last night's WWE Raw.

On commentary, Michael Cole mentioned that Kingston had re-injured his shoulder while competing in WWE's tour of Japan, a statement that was reiterated in the ring by Karrion Kross and used to taunt Kingston's long-term tag partner Xavier Woods.

Kofi missed a month of action after losing to Kross on the June 24 episode of Raw, an absence that was explained via a targeted attack on his arm by members of Kross' Final Testament stable. He had returned to the ring on July 25, wrestling four matches on WWE's Japan tour. All were tag matches against Finn Balor and JD McDonagh of the Judgement Day, while one saw Kingston and Woods team with Rey Mysterio in a six-man bout against Balor, McDonagh and Dominik Mysterio.

In Kross' promo last night, he also mentioned Kingston's infamously quick title loss to Brock Lesnar, a result that was revealed by a former WWE writer to have always been the planned aftermath of 2019's "KofiMania."
