Kofi Kingston To Make Independent Wrestling Appearance

Kofi Kingston to make an appearance at an Indy show

In 2024, WWE has been far more open to allowing their wrestlers to make appearances and even wrestle outside of the promotion. For instance, WWE talent has competed in the likes of TNA (and vice versa throughout the partnership between TNA & NXT), GCW, Pro Wrestling NOAH and Dream Star Fighting Marigold over this year, which is unprecedented for the company over the last few decades.

Another WWE wrestler will be getting the opportunity to make a special appearance, as Edge Pro Chicago have announced that former WWE Champion, 15-time Tag Team Champion, Intercontinental Champion and United States Champion Kofi Kingston will be a special guest at their upcoming Return To The Forge event on October 5 at The Forge in Joilet, Illinois.

Kingston won’t be competing it seems, as the promotional material suggests that this will be a “Limited Photo Op”. Kingston hasn’t competed outside of the WWE banner or their development territories since all the way back in 2006 when he wrestled at Chaotic Wrestling’s Summer Chaos 2006 show, before being plucked up and signed by WWE.

Later this year, Finn Balor & JD McDonagh will be heading over to OTT for their 10th Anniversary Show.
