NXT Wrestler Returns At House Show After 9 Months Away

An NXT wrestler has made her comeback after many months on the shelf

NXT held a live event last night in Davenport, Florida, and the show featured the in-ring return of a name who has been out for over nine months. Nikkita Lyons made her comeback, teaming up with Dante Chen in a mixed tag team match in which the pair were victorious.

Lyons has not been seen in NXT since all the way back in January, last competing in singles action in a losing effort to Blair Davenport on the January 9 episode of NXT. She was ruled out of action after suffering an ACL injury, keeping her out of the ring for most of 2024. It hadn’t been long since Lyons had returned to NXT, coming back in December of 2023 after spending around 11 months out of the ring due to another injury. Since the start of 2023, she has only managed to compete in 10 matches.

She posted on X earlier this week, commenting on her recovery, which was seemingly a tease in hindsight for her impending return to the ring.

“It’s been a minute. 8 months post op on my left ACL. now im even lmao… it’s not over when you fall, it’s over when you don’t get back up and just quit. no one knows all you’ve been through but you. take your power back and protect your peace.”
