Kofi Kingston: Why Twerking With Shawn Michaels Put An End To Any WWE Dream Match Hopes

Kingston doesn't do dream opponents any more

Kofi Kingston has explained how twerking with Shawn Michaels at WWE WrestleMania 32 put an end to any thoughts of having a dream match with a dream opponent.

Kingston, who will challenge Bobby Lashley for the WWE Championship at Money In The Bank on Sunday, teamed with his New Day stablemates against the League Of Nations at WrestleMania 32 before Michaels, Steve Austin and Mick Foley joined them in the ring.

At that point, the New Day got to dance with the legendary trio - at least until Austin hit Xavier Woods with a Stunner.

Kingston always used to say wrestling Michaels at WrestleMania would be his dream but, having danced with the Heartbreak Kid, he doesn't feel that will be topped.

Speaking to Gary Cassidy of Inside The Ropes, when asked about a dream opponent, he said: "Dream OPPONENT! Man! Oh, so I always used to say, like, having a match with Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania would be the best! It would be my dream.

"But I think it was WrestleMania 32 where myself, Woods and E had a match against the League of Nations. But after the match, we got in the ring with Stone Cold and Mankind, and Shawn Michaels – and granted it wasn’t like a match that we had, but I got to twerk with Shawn Michaels!

"I’ve been saying this since that happened, like, I don’t feel like… Nothing is really going to top that! You know what I’m saying? For opponents or… You know, it was a twerk-off! It was a little twerk-off. So, yeah, that was the one. I don’t really have one anymore!"
