Report: Goldberg Returning To WWE On Monday Night Raw

Goldberg is expected to appear on this Monday's episode of WWE Raw in Dallas, according to a report from Fightful Select.
The report goes on to state that the current plan is for Goldberg to face Bobby Lashley for the WWE championship at SummerSlam on August 21 in Las Vegas.
Goldberg last appeared for WWE at this year's Royal Rumble on January 31, losing to Drew McIntyre in a WWE title match.
The report notes that Goldberg's WWE contract runs through 2022, and he's obligated to wrestle two matches per year. In 2020, Goldberg wrestled twice, defeating The Fiend for the Universal title at Super Showdown, before dropping it to Braun Strowman at WrestleMania 36.
He also worked two matches in 2019, losing to The Undertaker at Super Showdown, before going on to defeat Dolph Ziggler at SummerSlam.
Lashley is scheduled to defend the WWE title at Sunday's Money in the Bank pay-per-view against Kofi Kingston. He's reigned as WWE champion since March 1, when he defeated The Miz for the title on Monday Night Raw.
