Konosuke Takeshita Signs With AEW

Takeshita returned on last night's Rampage

DDT Pro star Konosuke Takeshita has officially signed with All Elite Wrestling.

AEW President Tony Khan tweeted the news, writing, "It's official! Congratulations @Takesoup, you are All Elite! After signing his AEW contract + winning again last night on Friday Night #AEWRampage on @TNTdrama, we'll hear from Konosuke Takeshita on AEW Zero Hour moments before the annual #AEWFullGear ppv LIVE worldwide TONIGHT!"

Takeshita returned to AEW last night on a live episode of Rampage, teaming with the legendary Jun Akiyama to defeat Eddie Kingston and Ortiz. Akiyama will compete again tonight, taking on Kingston during the Zero Hour portion of Full Gear.

The 27-year-old Takeshita made a couple appearances for AEW in the spring of 2021, but wrestled for the company more often throughout the spring and summer of 2022.

Higher profile matches included a non-title bout with then-World champion Adam Page in May, a World title eliminator bout against Jon Moxley in July, and an ROH World title match with Claudio Castagnoli in August. While stateside, Takeshita also wrestled for American indies such as PWG, DEFY, Terminus, and DPW.
