Kota Ibushi Aiming To Return From Serious Ankle Injury In 3 Months

Kota Ibushi is eyeing a very quick recovery from his serious injury

Kota Ibushi suffered a serious injury back in January, aggravating his already injured ankle in a match with Naomichi Marufuji at a NOAH event. These injuries led to a performance which Ibushi ended up apologising for, blaming medical advice for some of the issues which occurred.

He would go on to undergo ankle surgery midway through January, beginning his road to recovery. Ibushi has issued some arguably over-optimistic statements in the last few days, saying in posts on X that he is aiming to recover in just three or four months. The translated tweets are as follows.

“Full recovery 6 months to 1 year. Does it take that long? So it will be cured in 3 months! ! I'll do what I decide."

He followed this up with another post

"So 4 months! ! Heal, heal, heal, heal. This time I'll fix everything. It will heal slowly. Starting today, I will do my rehabilitation without trying too hard.”

Ibushi returned to professional wrestling in 2023 after over a year out of action due to injuries. He competed in the likes of AEW, GCW, and NOAH before once again being ruled out.
