Kota Ibushi Claims He & Kenny Omega Are Returning To AEW 'Soon'

They have been training for their comeback.

Kota Ibushi has provided an update on the AEW status of himself and Kenny Omega.

Posting a picture on Instagram of the two of them posing following a practice session in Japan, Ibushi wrote (translated):

"Last practice is over!!! We haven't seen each other quite a bit, but this time we've got a hard push. Tuned up for AEW which will be soon. I still have a long time to fulfill my promises! The scenery sure has changed All that's left is to do! We're both on fire!! ️Thank you for your flexible contract even though you belong. Well, there are some things I've done, but basically when I'm in Japan, it's good".

Omega has been sidelined since December with diverticulitis. It is unknown when he will return to the ring.

Ibushi, meanwhile, last wrestled for AEW on the November 15, 2023 episode of Dynamite. He has wrestled just four matches this year (for Japan's NOAH, GLEAT and DDT promotions) as he continues to recover from a serious ankle injury.

The Golden Star noted in March that he hoped to return to the ring proper in six months.
