WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle is widely considered to be one of the greatest professional wrestlers of all-time, so his opinion holds significant weight, and it is in the opinion of the Olympic gold medallist that his fellow former WWE star Tajiri is the most underrated wrestler ever.

While doing a watchalong of the October 31, 2002, episode of SmackDown for his The Kurt Angle Show podcast, the Wrestling Machine had this to say about the 'Japanese Buzzsaw':

"Most underrated wrestler of all time. Okay. This kid oozes charisma, okay? He didn't speak English, but you could understand him. And you knew by how his face was what he meant. He was just this kid.

"This is why he did a lot of stuff, like the Halloween party. He was a character at the party because they knew that he could make people laugh. That's how Tajiri is. He's very entertaining. WWE brought the entertainment out of him. Yeah. As far as his wrestling, he was incredible in the ring. I mean, his Japanese style was amazing, but his charisma was unbelievable," said Angle.

A standout in the latter days of Paul Heyman's ECW, Tajiri worked for WWE between 2001 and 2005. A former United States, Cruiserweight and Tag Team champion in WWE, he returned for a handful of matches in 2016 and 2017.

The 53-year-old currently works for Kyushu Pro Wrestling in Japan.
