Kurt Angle Hails Mick Foley's TNA Signing

Kurt Angle considered Mick Foley's signing a big boon for TNA

Kurt Angle signing with TNA in 2006 was considered a game-changer for the fledgling promotion.

The Olympic gold medallist himself recently hailed the impact (no pun intended) of his fellow WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley's signing in 2008.

Discussing the Main Event Mafia during the latest edition of The Kurt Angle Show podcast, Angle said:

"That was awesome. I mean, Mick is such a credential to the company. He's a huge asset. I would consider him, even though he wasn't working as much at this point in time, I would consider him about as valuable as me, coming to that company. I really do. I don't know if I'm putting him over or myself."

Continuing, Angle noted that even though Foley wasn't wrestling as much at that stage of his career, he was still a valuable edition to the TNA roster:

"Mick was so entertaining. He was really funny on the microphone. He didn't work as much, he didn't wrestle in the ring quite as much. He did every once in a while. But he was a huge asset to the company, and having someone like him involved in the company was a big deal," Kurt said.

A one-time TNA Heavyweight Champion, Foley left the company in 2011.
