Angle retired in 2019

Kurt Angle has revealed that All Elite Wrestling have made three different contract offers to him, which the WWE Hall Of Famer turned down.
Angle noted a year ago that a move to AEW was 'off the table' for him after retiring from in-ring competition at WWE WrestleMania 35. The Olympic Gold Medallist was released from his producer role with WWE at the start of the COVID-19 Pandemic.
The 52-year-old has now offered up more details, indicating that AEW initially wanted him to wrestle multiple times before their last offer consisted of just being an on-screen character.
Speaking to the Wrestling Inc. Daily, Angle revealed: "Yes, they offered me a couple of different contracts. I turned it down for personal reasons, but Tony Khan’s been really nice to me, very generous, and I really appreciate his interest in having me there. But at this particular time, I can’t do it.
“The first offer, they wanted me to have many matches. The next offer, I think, was three matches, and then one was just an on-camera personality, no wrestling.”
