KUSHIDA Returns To NJPW

KUSHIDA is back in NJPW!

KUSHIDA has returned to New Japan Pro-Wrestling.

The Time Splitter made his first appearance in an NJPW ring since January 2019 at today's New Japan Road event when he confronted IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion Taiji Ishimori, who had just successfully defended his belt against Hiromu Takahashi.

In a short confrontation, KUSHIDA announced he had re-signed with New Japan and that he planned to spend the remainder of his career inside an NJPW ring.

KUSHIDA's return comes only two months after he departed WWE in April of 2022. It was expected that he would come back to NJPW.

The Time Splitter previously performed for the Japanese promotion from 2010 until January 2019 and he was one of the top stars in the junior heavyweight division, leaving the company as a six-time IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion and a two-time IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champion with Alex Shelley.

Alongside those accomplishments, KUSHIDA is a two-time winner of Best Of The Super Juniors and he won the 2016 Super J-Cup.
