Kyle O'Reilly is currently out of action but he is looking to make the most of his time on the shelf.
Speaking with Beyond Type 1, the former NXT Tag Team Champion revealed that he is using his time out of action to reevaluate himself.
"Right now, for the first time in 17 years I'm dealing with a significant injury that will require surgery. I'm using this time to reevaluate myself, my training, my diet and my diabetes care. To come back better than ever, have a better A1C, be an overall better athlete," O'Reilly said.
KOR has not wrestled since facing Jon Moxley in early June and O'Reilly announced in September that he had undergone neck fusion surgery. The injury usually keeps talents out for several months, sometimes for over a year.
O'Reilly has been a part of All Elite Wrestling since December of 2021 and he appeared to be on the receiving end of a singles push when he had to take time off. He briefly returned with Adam Cole and Bobby Fish to turn on the Young Bucks in August but disappeared again due to the neck fusion surgery. Adam Cole also remains on the shelf with a serious concussion.
