Laredo Kid 'Stable And Improving' Post Surgery

Laredo Kid underwent emergency surgery earlier this week

AAA and IMPACT Star Laredo Kid recently underwent emergency abdominal surgery after a AAA event, with the lucha star suffering ‘ruptured intestines’ after a match with Hijo del Vikingo.

Thankfully it appears the surgery was a success, with Luchablog translating an Instagram post showing that Laredo Kid is stable and improving, and could be ‘set to go home in a couple of few days’ if his condition remains stable.

Writing in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer gave more details on the nature of Laredo Kid’s injury, noting that LK was bleeding internally due to a small intestine rupture, with surgeons removing the damaged part of his small intestine before reconnecting the organ. Laredo Kid has reportedly told he can’t do anything strenuous for ‘at least two months’, obviously ruling him out of action for the rest of 2022.

Laredo Kid recently wrestled for IMPACT as part of their X Division Title Tournament, with his first round match against Black taurus airing on the October 27 edition of IMPACT Wrestling.
