Latest On Jamie Hayter's AEW Return

Update on Jamie Hayter's AEW return

Jamie Hayter has been away from All Elite Wrestling programming for several months but the former AEW Women's World Champion might soon make her return.

Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that he was told Hayter would be returning in early 2024, although there has been no new information in a couple of months.

"I have not been given a date on Jamie Hayter. I just heard early this year and we are early in the year. I have not heard anything new in a couple of months, really," Meltzer said.

Hayter established herself as one of the top stars of the AEW women's division in 2022 and she reigned as AEW Women's World Champion for 190 days from Full Gear 2022 to Double or Nothing 2023. Hayter suffered an injury ahead of Double or Nothing and the match for her to drop the belt to Toni Storm was filled with bells and whistles as Hayter was unable to work a straight singles match.

AEW's original plans called for Hayter to remain women's champion until at least All In but the injury forced her to drop the championship.
