Latest On Jeff Hardy After Being 'Knocked Silly' At AEW Rampage Taping

Update on Jeff Hardy's injury following AEW Rampage taping

Jeff Hardy suffered an injury at Wednesday night's taping of AEW Rampage, with Dave Meltzer noting Hardy was "knocked silly."

The former WWE World Heavyweight Champion faced Sammy Guevara in a No DQ Match on Rampage but Hardy was rocked after he took a knee to the face during a botched Shooting Star Press from Sammy Guevara. The botch left Hardy looking "out of it", according to fans in attendance and he looked visibly disorientated. Jeff was also left with a bloody mouth as he finished the match and flipped off Guevara with Matt Hardy following the loss. The Hardys have been teasing a heel turn in recent weeks.

There were fears after the match that Jeff had suffered a concussion but Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer has reported that Hardy avoided a concussion. He did sustain a broken nose, however.

Bryan Alvarez tweeted to his X (FKA Twitter) subscribers: "The word from within AEW is that Jeff Hardy suffered a broken nose last night but not a concussion."

Whether the injury will keep Jeff Hardy out of action is currently unknown.

After being absent from AEW Dynamite for much of 2023, Jeff Hardy has been a featured performer as a singles talent in 2024, having widely praised matches with Darby Allin, Swerve Strickland, and Jon Moxley over the past month.
