Lee Johnson Signs With AEW

The Nightmare Family member is sticking around

Following Cody Rhodes and Lee Johnson's victory on last night's AEW: Dynamite, Tony Khan announced the promotion had signed Johnson.

Khan tweeted: "In April most of the roster couldn't travel & we needed local talent for #AEWDynamite. @CodyRhodes recommended his pupil @BigShottyLee. Lee came & worked so hard. I was blown away & kept booking him. With Cody's guidance Lee got his 1st win tonight! Congrats Lee now it's official."

Johnson debuted in All Elite Wrestling back in April 2020 and has been used as an enhancement talent on Dark and Dynamite. He went on a 30-match losing streak in singles and tag team action before last night's show, having been defeated by the likes of SCU, Private Party, Sammy Guevara, Colt Cabana and Stu Grayson.

He became a member of The Nightmare Family back in October and has spent the past month teaming with stablemate Aaron Solow. They are joined in the faction by Cody Rhodes, Brandi Rhodes, Diamond Dallas Page, Dustin Rhodes, QT Marshall, Arn Anderson, Gunn Club and Nick Comoroto.
