AEW: Dynamite Results - February 10, 2021: Sammy Guevara Quits The Inner Circle

Omega & KENTA vs Moxley & Archer impressed in a wild main event...

After last week’s bombshell ending that saw KENTA appear to attack Jon Moxley, all talk was about the burgeoning relationship between AEW and New Japan.

The February 10 2021 episode of AEW Dynamite saw further steps along this road with a wild Falls Count Anywhere Anything Goes match between AEW World Champion Kenny Omega and KENTA vs IWGP US Champion Jon Moxley and Lance Archer.

Throughout the night we heard from some of the competitors involved, with a fired up Mox vowing to kick some heads in, while Omega sunned it up on the golf course and bragged about how good he was.

Dynamite was heavy on storyline progression all over the show this week, with the simmering tension between The Inner Circle’s Sammy Guevara and MJF finally bubbling over.

MJF recorded Sammy as he put words in his mouth about ‘hating Chris Jericho and wanting to take over The Inner Circle’ before Sammy smashed Maxwell’s phone and punched his ribs in. After Jericho and MJF defeated The Acclaimed, Sammy grabbed a mic and quit The Inner Circle.

Alex Marvez attempted to catch up with Guevara, but he said he “needed to refocus” and “needs some time away from this place.”

We finally saw the AEW Women’s World Title Eliminator Tournament kick-off as Thunder Rosa defeated Leyla Hirsch in a decent match. The commentary team then previewed the Japanese bracket of the tournament.

Elsewhere, Jungle Boy claimed he was a changed man after defeating Dax Harwood and vowed to make him “his bitch” after what FTR did to Marko Stunt. Good to see Jungle Boy finally get some decent mic time.

Hangman Page signed with 'Big Money' Matt Hardy after Hardy got him drunk and coerced him into signing a contract. Hangman had earlier bumped into the Dark Order who were still upset about not forming an alliance with Page.

The Young Bucks challenged The Proud and Powerful to a Tag Title match on next week’s show, after The Good Brothers convinced them they had no quarrel and their interference in last week’s Tag Team Battle Royal was in order to get one over on Private Party.

And Tony Schiavone’s interview with Sting was cut short after Team Taz assaulted Darby Allin, zipped him in a body bag, then dragged him from the back of a moving car. This was after Darby successfully defended his TNT Title against Joey Janela in a good opening match.

Check out the results below:

• Darby Allin (c) def. Joey Janela - TNT Championship
• Cody Rhodes & Lee Johnson def. 'Pretty' Peter Avalon & Cezar Bononi
• PAC def. Ryan Nemeth
• Chris Jericho & MJF def. the Acclaimed - Winners will face AEW Tag Champions The Young Bucks
• Thunder Rosa def. Leyla Hirsch - AEW Women’s World Title Eliminator Tournament First Round Match
• Kenny Omega & KENTA def. Jon Moxley & Lance Archer - Falls Count Anywhere Anything Goes Match
