One of pro wrestling's most legendary tag teams reunited on the August 13 edition of AEW Dynamite and they will team together for the first time in over a decade at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2025.
A reunion between Adam Copeland and Christian Cage has been teased ever since Adam Copeland saved Christian from a conchairto at AEW All In. The teases have continued, and the reunion finally took place on Wednesday night as FTR beat down Cope following his win over Stokely Hathaway, with Christian making the save for the former Edge with a spiked piece of wood. Nick Wayne then tried to get involved, but Christian sent him scurrying to the back with the same piece of wood.
Adam Copeland then looked at his former best friend, at which point Cage handed him the piece of wood and the two talents embraced. It was then announced that Cope and Christian Cage will team together for the first time since 2011 against Nick Wayne and Kip Sabian at Forbidden Door in London, England on Sunday, August 24.
Also official for Forbidden Door is Hangman Page vs. MJF for the AEW World Championship. The match has been teased ever since All In when MJF won the Casino Gauntlet, and it was made official on Dynamite after Page goaded MJF into cashing in his title shot by calling Friedman a coward.
Hiroshi Tanahashi will also be competing in a Lights Out Steel Cage Match in his final ever match in the United Kingdom when he teams with Will Ospreay, Kenny Omega, Darby Allin, and Kota Ibushi against The Young Bucks, Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, and Gabe Kidd.
