Whilst the merits of the WWE Hall of Fame can be argued by fans and industry veterans alike, there are certain names that most can agree deserve their spot in the HOF, with Lex Luger’s name being high on that list.

The ‘Total Package’ is one of the most glaring omissions from the WWE Hall of Fame, with WWE legends such as Mick Foley campaigning on Lex’s behalf for the former WCW World Heavyweight Champion to get a spot in the hall.

Luger himself has spoken on his chances of going in, and during a recent appearance on Busted Open Radio, Luger admitted he feels his time will come:

“I’m very optimistic, and I just think they have a way of doing it that I don’t think any of us are totally aware of. A formula, timing, all that. So I’m very optimistic that eventually I’ll be in. I really, really am,” said Luger.

Whilst Luger’s WWF ‘New Generation’ run in the mid-90s is remembered for its failings, his runs in WCW/NWA either side of his fed adventure saw Luger win multiple championships, run as part of the Four Horsemen and the NWO Wolfpac, and even topple Hollywood Hogan during the height of the NWO.
