Liv Morgan Feels She 'Needed' To Be Booed Following WWE SummerSlam

Liv Morgan’s controversial win at WWE SummerSlam 2022 led to some boos from the crowd

Liv Morgan faced an uphill struggle to become WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion, overcoming Ronda Rousey to get her hands on the gold after a Money in the Bank cash in.

Since becoming champ, portions of the WWE audience have soured on Morgan, exacerbated by Morgan’s controversial win over Ronda during their rematch at SummerSlam. However, during an appearance on the Bleav in Pro Wrestling show, Morgan revealed that she ‘needed’ the animosity from the fans:

“It was the week after SummerSlam actually. It was cutting that promo in the ring, it was having fans p***** at me. It was such a reality dose to me that I’ll never forget, but was so grateful and appreciative to have that experience in a weird way. Which I know sounds weird because I was getting booed. But it was just like, what I needed I feel like, to kind of really like, this is real. You are the champion, you are representing the company. You are representing this title. Everything that you do matters,” said Morgan.

Morgan is set to defend the title against Rousey in an Extreme Rules Match at WWE Extreme Rules on October 8.
