Medical personnel and a referee check on WWE star Liv Morgan after she suffered an injury during a match on Raw

WWE star Liv Morgan suffered an injury during her match on last night's (June 16) edition of Raw.

Morgan suffered a dislocated shoulder while wrestling Kairi Sane. During the match, Morgan took a front bump after being tripped and immediately rolled out of the ring and grabbed her arm.

After being checked on by medical personnel and the match referee, it was declared that the current WWE Women's Tag Team Champion could not continue and she was helped backstage. Kairi Sane thus won the match by default.

PWInsider reported that the injury is 100% legitimate and that WWE are waiting to see the severity of it before determining how much ring time Morgan is set to miss. Depending on the severity of the dislocation, she could be out of action for upwards of 16 weeks.

Backstage, the injury was viewed as a freak occurrence and there is no heat on anyone for it.

WWE appeared to be setting up either a singles match between Morgan and Nikki Bella at Evolution on July 13, or a tag match pitting Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez against the Bella Twins, with Brie Bella in talks to return to the company.
