Killswitch/Luchasaurus is said to be doing ‘much better’ following his double pneumonia diagnosis in September.

The former AEW World Tag Team Champion was believed to be close to death after collapsing in his home, with doctors finding the Patriarchy member - real name Austin Matelson - had pneumonia in both lungs.

F4WOnline’s Bryan Alvarez posted an update on Luchasaurus’ condition on social media:

“He is doing much better. I am told he is working hard towards a comeback and credits Tony Khan and AEW medical staff for not only being patient with this, but but also telling him to stay home the week before he collapsed, which may have saved his life. It was very serious,” reported Alvarez.

At the time of diagnosis, tests showed Matelson’s blood oxygen levels had fallen below 80%, and he was believed to be days away from suffering permanent lung damage.

Killswitch last wrestled at AEW All In in August, helping Christian Cage win the Casino Battle Royal. He also wrestled earlier on the card as part of a four-team trios title ladder match. There is no timetable for his in-ring return.
