Major Tag Team Split Up At WWE NXT UK Tapings

A top tag team break up on WWE NXT UK!

One of the United Kingdom's top tag teams split up on Thursday's NXT UK tapings from BT Sport Studios in London, England.

WWE's UK brand held their second day of tapings on April 21 and Moustache Mountain defended the NXT UK Tag Team Championships in the second match on the show, putting the gold on the line against Die Familie, and Oliver Carter and Ashton Smith.

New champions were crowned in that match and Oliver Carter and Ashton Smith left BT Sport Studios with the gold.

Dropping the belts wasn't Moustache Mountain's only involvement at the April 21 taping, though, and Trent Seven later came to the ring to announce his retirement. It was all ultimately a ruse, however, as The Artful Dodger turned on his tag team partner and attacked him.

Before Seven's turn, Moustache Mountain had been a tag team since they first teamed together in Fight Club: Pro back in 2015. They began teaming in WWE in 2017 and held the NXT Tag Team Championships for 22 days before capturing the NXT UK Tag Team Championships in November 2021.
