Major Update On Trinity's WWE Return

Trinity and WWE have been in talks for a return for some time

Reports emerged over the last week or so that current reigning IMPACT Knockouts World Champion Trinity, formerly known as Naomi, was on course to re-join WWE in the near future. Her contract with IMPACT/TNA is expiring very soon, with the upcoming Hard To Kill PPV expected to act as her farewell to the promotion.

An update has been provided by Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter when it comes to this situation, with him confirming that his WWE sources have also indicated that it is expected for Trinity to return to WWE. He went on to reveal that “unofficial talks” with Trinity dated back almost a year, so it was the belief within IMPACT/TNA that a move back to WWE was inevitable.

Trinity left WWE in 2022 amidst some backstage controversy when she and Mercedes Mone (then Sasha Banks) walked out prior to an episode of Monday Night RAW due to creative grievances. Following the end of her WWE deal, Trinity showed up in IMPACT and went on to become the Knockouts World Champion, a belt she has now held for over 175 days.
