Malakai Black Debuts On AEW Dynamite

Aleister no more

Malakai Black, the former Aleister Black and Tommy End, debuted during AEW's "Road Rager" edition of Dynamite on Wednesday night in Miami.

Black made his debut disrupting an in-ring interview with Arn Anderson. As Anderson spoke about his recent good fortunes as a manager, the lights went out. When they came back on, Black was stood solemnly in the corner. After a few beats, he stepped forth and laid Anderson out with Black Mass.

Cody Rhodes ran in to try and ward Black off, only to also be struck with Black Mass.

During Rhodes' win over QT Marshall in a strap match earlier in the night, the lights briefly went out there as well, in a bit of foreshadowing.

Black was released from WWE on June 2, as part of a shocking round of cuts that also included Braun Strowman, Ruby Riott, Lana, and Buddy Murphy. It has been rumored in recent weeks that some released talents were seeking workarounds to the standard 90-day non-compete clause.

Black's real-life wife, Zelina Vega, returned to WWE television this past week on SmackDown, making her first appearance in nearly eight months.
