Maria Kanellis’ AEW deal facing expiry
Oct 9, 2024
Maria Kanellis-Bennett has revealed her All Elite Wrestling deal is set to expire at the end of October, with her future in the organisation unclear.
Kanellis-Bennett has been with AEW and sister brand Ring of Honor since October 2022, and took to X/Twitter to reveal her deal was expiring soon:
After arriving at the side of The Kingdom (Mike Bennett and Matt Taven) in October 2022, Kanellis-Bennet was quietly removed from their side and instead served as the manager of Cole Karter and Griff Garrison on ROH.
Kanellis-Bennett recently revealed that she was set to undergo surgery after discovering a mass on her adrenal gland, with it unknown whether the mass is cancerous or genetic. Kanellis-Bennett also recently announced that she is pursuing a Masters Degree in business administration with support from AEW’s tuition reimbursement programme.
Maria’s husband Mike Bennett recently took to social media to praise AEW’s backstage set-up, giving thanks to the behind-the-scenes staff that look after the day-to-day production demands in the company. Since returning to the company with his wife, Bennett has had one reign as ROH World Tag Team Champions alongside partner Matt Taven.
