Maria Kanellis Reveals Tony Khan Has Reached Out About Possible ROH Return

Maria Kanellis says that Tony Khan has reached out to her regarding a possible ROH return

IMPACT Wrestling star Maria Kanellis-Bennett has revealed that AEW and Ring of Honor owner Tony Khan has reached out to her regarding a potential role in ROH.

Speaking during an appearance on the PW Ponderings podcast, Maria said that she and Khan are currently trying to find a convenient time to discuss the future:

"I'm hopeful that happens soon. I'm thankful and appreciative that he even reached out to me because I love Ring of Honor. A piece of my soul might have died a little bit when I was released from the company last year because last year was so fulfilling and I loved working with (the women's) division. I'm hopeful that we do find a time to communicate and a lot of our friends are trying to make sure we get in touch. I will keep everybody posted as things come into play".

Maria further stated that she is open to various roles, whether it involves backstage producing, writing, HR or talent relations and that she's 'hopeful' and 'excited' about working with ROH in the future.

Kanellis-Bennett was involved in putting together last summer's ROH Women's Title tournament, as well as the show Women's Division Wednesday.

She was released by Ring of Honor on October 27 (along with the rest of the roster) after it was announced the company was closing down.

The Honor No More member's IMPACT Wrestling deal will expire following this Saturday's Rebellion pay-per-view.
