Mark Henry: Austin Theory Could Become 'The Guy' In WWE

Theory has been strongly featured on WWE TV since his call-up from NXT

WWE clearly have high hopes for Austin Theory, with the former NXT star positioned strongly on WWE RAW as the understudy to Vince McMahon himself.

WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry is one name who believes that Theory could become a big star in WWE, saying the following on Busted Open Radio:

“He’s doing something that very few wrestlers get to do, i.e. play Robin to Batman, which is playing Robin to Vince McMahon. Austin did it, The Rock did it, Mankind did it, and you go down the list of guys that had serious interactions with Vince, those storylines with Vince who did they become? The face of the company, ‘The Guy.’”

Henry continued, “Austin Theory is on that trajectory. He’s young, he can be groomed, he listens, he wants to be great, and he realises the position is that he is in, and he’s doing what he’s told and he’ll be a star.”

Since being called up to RAW in October 2021, Theory has defeated the likes of Jeff Hardy and Dominik Mysterio, and even took on Big E for the WWE Title in a losing effort in November.
