Mark Henry Makes Surprise Appearance At MLW Battle Riot VI

Mark Henry showed up at MLW's Battle Riot event last night

Mark Henry officially became a free agent as of this week, deciding against renewing his deal with All Elite Wrestling, revealing that he wanted to focus on other ventures away from AEW, but was proud of what he accomplished with the promotion and alongside Tony Khan, having nothing but good things to say about his former boss and the company itself. Henry did note though that he was not walking away from professional wrestling as a whole when leaving AEW. This certainly rings true already as Mark Henry is already utilising his free agency status by showing up at last night’s MLW Battle Riot VI.

At MLW’s show in Atlanta headlined by matches such as Satoshi Kojima vs. ‘Filthy’ Tom Lawler and the Battle Riot Battle Royal won by Matt Riddle, Mark Henry appeared alongside Teddy Long prior to the Ritual Combat clash between AJ Francis (FKA Top Dolla) and Alex Kane.

Henry wasted no time spreading his free agent wings by appearing in MLW, though it isn’t known if this means any sort of long-term commitment. Given Henry’s recent comments and reasons for AEW, it is likely just a one-off for now.
