NXT To Have Some 'Exciting Announcements' Soon
Shawn Michaels has teased more exciting news for NXT
NXT has experienced a whole lot of buzz this week. On the May 28 episode of NXT, the developmental brand was rocked by the surprise arrival of TNA Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace, who was revealed to be the opponent for Roxanne Perez’s NXT Women’s Championship at the upcoming Battleground event in Las Vegas. This has sparked a lot of talk on the developments of a working relationship between TNA and WWE. Additionally, former AEW wrestler Ethan Page made his debut on NXT programming too.
It looks as though the excitement will not be stopping for NXT, as Shawn Michaels revealed in an interview with KTNV Channel 13 that some big announcements were coming the way of the brand.
“Well, look, obviously a lot of those decisions get made by people above me. But, look, I have no doubt that there’s going to be some very exciting announcements coming down the pike, let’s put it that way. And I will say this, again, it comes back to wanting to entertain the people that do this. And you just said it, for fans, we have wanted A, B, and C for so long. I don’t know, and I guess with those of us that get to do this behind the scenes, those are things that we’ve wanted to see. So why not see if we can bring you guys what it is you’ve been looking for?”
Michaels told fans to expect more cross-promotional work between WWE and other companies.
