Marty Scurll Re-Signs With ROH, Takes Over As Head Booker

"The Villain" sticks around...

For the longest time, it seemed as though Marty Scurll was AEW-bound at the expiration of his RIng of Honor contract. Instead, the situation has changed, and "The Villain" isn't going anywhere.

Mike Johnson of PWInsider has reported that Scurll has signed a new deal with Ring of Honor, one that will also make him the company's head booker.

Dave Meltzer added in a follow-up report that Scurll's contract is, "The most lucrative deal in company history."

Scurll's contract with ROH originally expired in November, though he continued to appear for dates with the company while a new deal was discussed.

In taking over as head booker, Scurll replaces Hunter "Delirious" Johnson, who will remain with the company.

Scurll was said to have been heavily involved in the creative of ROH's shows over this weekend.

The nature of his contract allows Scurll to continue working with the NWA, where he debuted last month at the conclusion of the Into the Fire pay-per-view in Atlanta, confronting World champion Nick Aldis.
