Match Removed From This Week's WWE Raw Due To Tommaso Ciampa Injury Revealed

NXT Champion has been working with an injury recently...

Recently on WWE's main roster programming, NXT's Aleister Black, Ricochet, Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa have all been tearing up serious trees.

The callups reportedly came about as Vince McMahon believes there isn't enough great wrestling on Monday Night Raw, so asked Triple H for his four best NXT Superstars. All four men are said to be in the midst of a super push to make them bonafide stars.

However, will no explanation on either Raw or SmackDown Live given, Gargano and Ciampa weren't in action at all this week - even though a match between Johnny and Cesaro had been promoted for Tuesday's SmackDown.

It appears the reason for this is due to an injury sustained by Ciampa, who has reportedly been working through the pain barrier in recent times.

Per PWInsider, Tommaso and Johnny were supposed to be in eight-man tag team action on this week's Raw, with Black and Ricochet, Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins, and one more unnamed Raw tag team (presumably The Revival given DIY's win over them on the previous week's Raw) also involved.

However, the injury to Ciampa ended all of that, and we here at Cultaholic wish him all the best in his recovery.
