Matt Cardona Turns Heel, Wins IMPACT Digital Media Title

Cardona has become one of the best heels in the business

As seen on last night’s edition of IMPACT Wrestling, Matt Cardona defeated Jordynne Grace to become the new IMPACT Digital Media Champion, turning heel in the process.

Cardona came into the match after recently losing to IMPACT World Champion Moose at Hard to Kill, and despite vowing to fight fair and not strike Grace, Cardona grew frustrated, and nailed Grace with a chair and a Radio Silence to clinch the title.

Cardona’s heel turn was cemented as he held the title aloft on the entrance way and flipped off the crowd, before later gloating about his win to Gia Miller backstage.

The move is sure to be warmly received by fans, as outside of IMPACT, Cardona has built a reputation as one of the best heels currently working in all of wrestling, with his GCW World Championship win over Nick Gage in July 2021 one of the most shocking events of the year, with the GCW audience almost starting a riot when Cardona lifted the gold.

The title win marks Cardona’s first since joining IMPACT in January 2021.
