Matt Hardy Debuts In AEW

A "wonderful" conclusion to Dynamite...

Weeks after exiting WWE, Matt Hardy made his debut for All Elite Wrestling, capping off a rather unique episode of AEW Dynamite in Jacksonville on Wednesday night.

In the evening's main event, Jake Hager, Santana, and Ortiz of The Inner Circle defeated Cody Rhodes, Adam Page, and Matt Jackson in a six-man tag, in order to gain the "man advantage" in the impending Blood and Guts match. Compounding The Elite's predicament is the fact that Nick Jackson has been written out of the angle with injuries, sustained on last week's show at the hands of The Inner Circle.

While Chris Jericho gloated in the post-match about his group's good fortune, the Vanguard 1 drone suddenly landed in Daily's Place, interrupting Jericho's spiel. Matt Jackson took the mic and revealed that he called in a favor from a friend to be the fifth man for The Elite, which turned out to be Matt Hardy.

With Hardy spotlighted on the opposite end of the arena, he made the "delete" gesture as the show went off the air.

The finale of Matt Hardy's "Free the Delete" series concluded with Hardy commanding Vanguard 1 to take him to "Arcadia". The video was released roughly an hour before Hardy made his AEW debut.
