Matt Hardy's First Post-WWE Match Revealed

The Broken One Will Be Back In Action Soon...

On March 1, Matt Hardy confirmed his WWE contract had expired and he was now officially a free agent. Since then, both he and All Elite Wrestling have released numerous teasers that he is set to sign with the young promotion and be revealed as Dark Order's Exalted One. More teasers are set to be released later today with the next episode of FREE THE DELETE scheduled to air at 4 pm GMT.

Hardy joining AEW is seemingly further away than many thought, however, as Northeast Wrestling announced earlier today on Twitter that The Broken One will wrestle in his first match since leaving WWE on March 27 at Wrestlefest 24 at the Waterbury Police Activity League in Waterbury, Connecticut.

They tweeted: "Friday, March 27th in Waterbury, CT @MATTHARDYBRAND returns to @newwrestling1 for his first match since becoming the hottest free agent in wrestling!!! Get your tickets now at http://northeastwrestling.com."

Stars of Dynamite will be on the show as former Northeast Wrestling Heavyweight Champion Darby Allin will be in action against Sammy Guevara, which does leave open the possibility that Hardy signs with AEW but doesn't wrestle until after March 27.
