Matt Hardy Signs New AEW Deal

Matt Hardy has pledged his future to AEW

Matt Hardy has revealed he has signed a new AEW deal.

The news should come as no surprise, as Matt’s brother Jeff Hardy made his AEW debut on the March 9 edition of AEW: Dynamite, with Matt saying the following on his HouseHardy Twitch stream:

"I'm very happy too. I've extended my contract with AEW," Hardy said. "I'm going to be there a little while longer, and they matched myself and Jeff's contracts up, which is very cool.”

There is no indication as how long Matt’s contract is extended, nor how long Jeff has signed with AEW. Like others in AEW, The Hardys are free to make indie appearances - provided they don’t clash with AEW dates.

Matt originally signed with AEW in early 2020, debuting in March during the start of the ‘pandemic era’ of Dynamite. Matt has packed a lot into his first two years with the company, having been ‘broken’ ‘extreme’ and ‘Big Money’, with his run as the head of the villainous Hardy Family Office coming to an end earlier this week.
