Sammy Guevara Reacts To Second TNT Title Loss

Sammy Guevara defended the TNT Title for the fifth time of his second reign on Wednesday's edition of Dynamite against Scorpio Sky. Unfortunately for The Spanish God, though, the result was different from his prior four defences and Sky captured the title after decking Guevara with a TKO while the champion was distracted by Paige VanZant attacking his girlfriend Tay Conti. 

Guevara has since commented on his title loss on Twitter, writing: "What a beautiful journey. The ups and the downs, Grateful for it all. I tired my best & gave everything I had to show the TNT Title is the most important title in professional wrestling. Last night wasn't my night but it doesn't mean tomorrow won’t be. The journey continues..."

With his loss on Wednesday, Guevara's second TNT Title reign came to an end after 42 days. He previously held the gold for 87 days during his first reign from late September until Christmas Day 2021 before he dropped the gold to Cody Rhodes.

Following that, Guevara would be crowned Interim TNT Champion at the inaugural AEW Battle Of The Belts on January 8 and he would defeat Cody to unify the TNT Titles at Beach Break on January 26.
