Matt Hardy, Young Bucks Tease Jeff Hardy Is AEW Bound

Could ‘The Charismatic Enigma’ become ‘All Elite’?

Over the weekend, chatter about Jeff Hardy potentially joining AEW has only increased, especially after Tony Khan promised a new talent would cross through ‘the forbidden door’ on this week’s upcoming edition of AEW: Dynamite.

WWE allegedly ‘fear’ a Hardy Boys reunion in AEW, and Matt Hardy has indicated that a reunion could be in the works. On-screen, Hardy has sold part of his HFO stable to Andrade el Idolo, and the two have already had disagreements, leading to Hardy cutting an in-character promo on his Twitter account:

“Maybe it’s time for me to go back to the drawing board,” said Hardy. “Maybe it’s time for me to get rich on what originally made me rich, which was me. Maybe it’s time for me to lace up my boots a little tighter. Maybe it’s time for me to adapt my old motto of ‘fear is only a four letter word’.

“So starting today, February 5th 2022, I’m going to make a promise to everyone, and I’m saying it here publicly so I’ll be held accountable for it; I’m gonna bust my ass. I’m gonna do everything I possibly can to take my dilapidated vessel, after all the wear and tear on my body, after my age and get into the best shape that it can possibly be in. I don’t like the direction that Matt Hardy is currently headed in AEW. If something doesn’t happen with the AHFO, something has to change. Maybe it’s time for Matt Hardy to make an ‘Xtreme’ change.”

‘Fear is only a four letter word’ was an old Team Xtreme slogan from the Attitude Era, whilst Hardy mentioning his ‘dilapidated vessel’ could point at a return of The Broken Hardys.

It wasn’t just Matt Hardy who took to Twitter to tease the coming of Jeff, as The Young Bucks did one of their customary bio changes, writing simply “Bring us Jeff Harvey,” alluding to the now infamous moment in WWE where Mike Adamle got Jeff’s name wrong on live TV.
