Matt Jackson Wrestled At AEW Double Or Nothing 2020 With A Broken Rib

Fighting through the pain...

On last week's episode of Dynamite, The Young Bucks returned to AEW for the first time in two months in dramatic fashion as they dived from the stands in TIAA Bank Field onto Santana & Ortiz. The High Cross didn't go as planned for Matt Jackson, however, as he suffered a rib injury.

It was later confirmed that Matt would be able to compete in the Stadium Stampede match at Double Or Nothing as he reportedly suffered a bruised rib or cartilage injury.

Matt's wife Dana Massie revealed after the pay-per-view this was not the case and Jackson actually suffered a broken rib on Dynamite but still decided to wrestle. Matt's midsection was heavily taped during the Stadium Stampede match.

Massie wrote on Instagram: "My husband is CRAZY. So thankful he’s okay (besides a broken rib)... that match was fun, but also super stressful to watch last night!!"

Dave Meltzer also reported on F4W Online the former IWGP Tag Team Champion is trying to avoid going to the hospital and hasn't had X-Rays yet, but that the injury feels the same as when he previously fractured his rib.
