Matt Riddle Vs. Seth Rollins "Fight Pit" Match Added To WWE Extreme Rules
Riddle and Rollins will enter the Pit
A "Fight Pit" match has been added to WWE Extreme Rules, which will see Matt Riddle go one on one with Seth Rollins.
Rollins previously defeated Riddle at Clash at the Castle on September 3. The two were originally set to face off at SummerSlam, but a Rollins curb stomp injured Riddle and delayed the match.
On Monday's edition of Raw, Riddle cost Rollins in his United States title match against Bobby Lashley. Later in the night, Rollins evened the score by interfering in Riddle's match with The Judgment Day.
Afterward, Rollins and Riddle brawled backstage, and were separated by a horde of referees and producers. Rollins agreed to face Riddle in a rematch, with Riddle choosing Extreme Rules as the place. He also selected a Fight Pit as the stipulation.
Riddle competed in the Fight Pit once before, facing Timothy Thatcher in NXT.
The current card for WWE Extreme Rules, taking place Saturday night, October 8 at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, includes the following:
