Report: Mauro Ranallo And Beth Phoenix Doing WWE NXT Commentary From Home During Coronavirus Pandemic

The Voice Of NXT returned earlier this week...

Back on April 17, WWE amended its taping schedule. The company was set to return to broadcasting live programming every week but the decision was made to air a combination of live and taped shows until July. WWE changed their minds after FOX and NBC told the wrestling behemoth they would not default on their contract if they didn't air live programming during a global pandemic.

This has allowed WWE to bring back Beth Phoenix and Mauro Ranallo to commentate on NXT and on this week's episode of the black and gold brand, they joined Tom Phillips at the virtual announcers' table.

Ryan Satin at Pro Wrestling Sheet reported WWE's production team was able to find a way which allowed Ranallo and Phoenix to record from home. This strategy will not be used for Friday Night SmackDown or Monday Night Raw, however, as Satin noted that NXT's announcers appear on-screen less than those on the main roster and WWE did not think it would impact the show if they did not appear in person.
